Bring Your People

Group camping at The Woods.

The Woods is a great place to bring a group of friends or members of a club — and we've happily hosted plenty of them. Group camping is 20 or more members camping together.

Where Your Group Camps

Three ways to set up.

Full Amenities

Standard Sites

Reserve as many sites as your group needs — some accommodate up to three units. Each has a picnic table, fire ring, and utilities (electric, water, sewer, cable TV). They sell out quickly, so adjacent sites aren't guaranteed on busy weekends.

Near the Clubhouse

Tent Grove Sites

Conveniently located by the Clubhouse with shared picnic tables, fire rings, and access to electric in a community setting. Tents only. Like standard sites, they sell out quickly — so adjacency isn't guaranteed.

All Together

Overflow Field

The best choice for keeping everyone together — camp side by side and arrange the space to suit your group. No site amenities, but it's cheaper and has no borders. Restrooms are within about 200 yards, the same distance to the pool and Clubhouse.

The overflow field doesn't include a picnic table or fire ring, but for large groups we can provide 8-foot picnic tables with advance notice. Campfires are welcome as long as you bring or rent a raised fire dish for your area — this keeps the field free of random circles of black ash. Firewood is available at our store. See our camp map for site locations.

Pricing & Planning

We make groups easy.

  • Our pricing system automatically discounts for groups. We'll work out an average price per person, and can fold in the membership fee if it's everyone's first visit of the season.
  • Collect payment from your members and pay us in one go, or have members pay individually — whatever's easier. We just ask that the entire reservation is paid in full when your first member arrives.
  • It's best to have one person organize the trip with our staff and pass along all the details to the group.
  • Only essential vehicles should remain at your site for secure storage; all others park in designated areas with permits displayed. See our parking info.
  • We suggest members create or update their account before arrival to speed up check-in.
  • Pre-arrange meals with our café — a private group lunch (burgers, hot dogs, salads, chips) and/or breakfast buffet tickets. Our Sunday brunch buffets are very popular.
  • Other requests — party tents, porta-potties, large grills, or outside excursions like rafting, biking, and amusement parks — can be organized by Guest Services with advance notice.

Self-Management & Hosting

Tools for group leaders.

Group Reservation Self-Management

Once our Guest Services team creates your group event, we assign a group leader who can add or remove guests, adjust the number of nights, and make payments. Adding guests uses the My Camping Family tool, so a little setup is required first. After that, you'll see your group's reservations whenever you log into your Woods account.

Club / Organization Event Hosting

If your group is a club or organization, consider hosting an event during your visit — a leather club cocktail party, a volleyball tournament, a yoga session, or a naturist gathering or hike. Our covered picnic pavilion is available too. Contact us to add your event to the schedule, or do it yourself in The Woods app.

The Next Steps

Tell us about your group.

Fill out the form below and we'll follow up with you. Once reservations are created and a site tracking # is generated, we can add members — or you can, using our group reservation management tool. Encourage your members to create or update their accounts before arrival to speed up registration.
